Learning AutoCAD For Oil & Gas Engineering Field

freelance drafter, This time I will explain about the importance of learning autocad for oil & gas fields of engineering jobs. I will explain that design engineering jobs and oil & gas sector is mostly about the foundation and pipe support, skid (drag media) for piping as well as for tank / vessel is in oil & gas plant jobs.
To make drawing or drafting design for field of oil & gas engineering there are a lot of programs / add on applications, that are often used by designers to create a design drawing like the support pipes, such as programs Microstation, PDMS (Plant Design Management System), Tribon, Foran etc, are software design widely used as an alternative drawing on oil & gas fields.Well for those of you who have learned AutoCAD and want to upgrade to this level, please to learn more on this blog, God willing, I will discuss in next article.
Back again to the topic, for oil & gas sector  widely used on the same principle, namely drawing foundations, reinforced concrete and structural / steel frame. And it is very possible if you want to stay in this field, learn autocad with objects above you will surely meet again. But the difference if you become a professional designer, you should be able to calculate the material required for fabrication needs, so in addition to drawing you should be able to calculate the material. Because I suggest you to learn autocad  also must be able to count all the objects that you have been drawing pictures and making lists of materials for fabrication needs.
If you just want to be a drafter or if there is a chance you upgrade your level to be a professional designer, start now to learn Autocad while you learn to calculate the material. And also I'd suggest getting to know the object / building materials that are commonly used in the project, such as steel, iron, wood, screws, plates and others.
My advice if you want to succeed in the world of engineering jobs especially in freelance drafting jobs, whether you want to be a enginer , freelance drafter or a designer, you should be able to operate AutoCAD design software as a condition to fulfill the job in this field. Very lucky if you add the expertise of other programs as I mentioned above (PDMS / workstations, Tribon, Foran etc.).
